Mississippi Freedom Trail Markers  •  visitmississippi.org

The trail provides a tour of the state and those sites that played a pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement. Among the first markers unveiled were the Medgar Evers Marker, located at his former home, now a museum, at 2332 Margaret Walker Alexander Drive, and at the former Greyhound Bus Station, now an architect’s office, at 219 N. Lamar Street downtown. Seven more markers will be added in Jackson during the next few years.
