Social media is an amazing tool to help tell stories and promote events and our partners, keeping you informed of exciting developments in the City With Soul.

It has also shown itself to be a place where followers feel they can "say anything" that comes to mind as it pertains to our partners and our city.

To be clear, Visit Jackson and our associated brands - The City With Soul, My City JXN MS and Eat JXN - won't be your sounding board for the kind of dialogue (or in many cases, monologue) that does nothing to uplift or edify the work we are doing to shine a light on the positives.

If our content - always positive in nature - incites a response in you that is anything but positive, we ask that you kindly hold your tongue (or fingers, as it were) or simply unfollow our pages. It really is that simple and will prevent you from seeing content that engenders a negative emotion.

• Visit Jackson monitors our profiles and pages but is not responsible for content generated by you, our users. Posted comments and images do not necessarily represent the views of Visit Jackson. We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our monitoring capabilities are not. We may not see every inappropriate comment right away, and we are trusting in the maturity of our community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech or respond politely.
