Clicquot in the Snow: The Westin Jackson's Intimate 'Igloo' Dining Experience

An intimate night on the town: a bottle of champagne, fondue options, and a welcoming blanket with a date or friends in an igloo?

Yes, a trio of igloos at The Westin Jackson has been giving the city an escape to a winter oasis since it debuted in early December 2024. Shortly after the launch of the transparent domes of bliss, they’ve been completely booked ever since.

“We wanted to bring something different to Jackson,” said Patrick House, General Manager of The Westin Jackson. “It has taken off and gone to much higher levels than I ever thought it would. It’s been extremely popular.”

TikTock influencer Liz Lanford gave a public service announcement on her private platform, telling everybody in the area, “This year we are skipping the ski trip, and we are doing apres ski at The Westin Hotel in downtown Jackson.”

This is the first time The Westin Jackson has featured Clicquot in the Snow, a partnership between the hotel and Moet Hennessy. Clicquot in the Snow or Champagne in the Snow allows guests to experience unique dining in one of three igloos. Up to six guests choose a rich cheese or decadent chocolate fondue, complemented by gourmet dippables, thoughtfully crafted small bites, and an entree.

Guests can order any cocktail from the bar or a bottle or glass of champagne. Since the kitchen prepared for your order via your reservation on Tock, the staff will be ready to serve you as soon as you come in to maximize your 90-minute winter wonderland. It’s a complete luxury experience from curbside valet parking, decor, lights, and a special seasonal menu with drinks to boot on the hotel patio.

“There’s a fireplace in there as a heater that we turn on every night,” said House. “So it’s nice and warm when the guests arrive, but they can make the temperature as warm or cold as they would like. We also have custom blankets for the igloos. So, if anyone needs a blanket along with the heater, they can wrap up in a cozy flannel blanket.”

The hotel initially showcased the new event during its Festival of Trees, the holiday kickoff of winter decorations. The Westin Jackson says they will definitely bring Clicquot in the Snow back next year. The winter hit has already been extended twice and is expected to be extended a third time, adding days and times throughout February.

“One hundred percent it will be back next year for sure,” said House.
