A Decade of Deliciousness: La Brioche

La Brioche Patisserie has lived many lives in the 10 years since opening. From a Mississippi Farmers Market stand, to a warm and lively cafe, to a custom-order kitchen with a dedicated online clientele, Cristina Lazarri has made this family business a Jackson staple.

Eleven years ago, two sisters and their mom—with a longing for the Argentanian sweets and coffee shops they loved years before—had a dream, a dream to bring a small taste of home to their new city of Jackson, Mississippi.

Alejandra, Cristina, and their mother Maria, began selling Alejandra’s confectionary creations at the Mississippi Farmers Market in 2013. It was no surprise that they were a huge hit.

By 2014, the three had opened the cafe and patisserie of their dreams: La Brioche. With Alejandra’s extensive studies in pastry creation, and Cristina’s experience working in coffee and pastry shops all over Europe, a fusion of their roots and expertise took shape.

La Brioche offers something to satisfy each craving with a menu that changes weekly and boasts delicacies that run the gamut from sweet to savory. They are happy to sell directly to customers and vendors throughout the city. The family has accomplished what they set out to do: fuse their South American and European roots while using high-quality ingredients, an array of flavors and textures, and providing consistently exceptional customer service.
