See Picasso’s Landscapes
From November 11, 2023, to March 3, 2024, the Mississippi Museum of Art (MMA) proudly commemorates the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso's passing with a groundbreaking exhibition, "Picasso Landscapes: Out of Bounds." This remarkable showcase marks the first-ever solo exhibition of Picasso's oeuvre in the state of Mississippi. Delving into Picasso's revolutionary approach to landscape painting, the exhibit reveals how he harnessed landscapes throughout his artistic journey, from his early days in art school to the year preceding his death. Displaying twenty-seven paintings and sculptures that span his seventy-five-year career, along with captivating historical film clips and photographs, MMA's presentation offers a comprehensive perspective on Picasso's profound relationship with the world of landscape art. Make sure to stop into the Mississippi Museum of Art Store to take home a Picasso of your own.
