Jackson Indie Music Week

This week-long celebration highlights Mississippi’s independent music scene with concerts, showcases, panels, and screenings. Covering all genres, from hip-hop to rock, it honors Mississippi’s musical legacy in our capital city.

CASE Festival

This year’s festival commemorates Emmett Till’s legacy with a keynote by Natasha Trethewey and a plenary conversation with the Emmett Till Interpretive Center.

NatureFEST

Celebrate 25 years of NatureFEST! with live animal encounters, fish feedings, and interactive science activities. Families can enjoy reptile demonstrations, museum tours, and citizen scientist explorations, all included with museum admission.

Stranger Than Fiction Film Festival

Presented by the Mississippi Film Society, this festival features curated films, workshops, and filmmaker discussions. Highlights include Secret Mall Apartment, family-friendly screenings, an industry workshop, and a movie trivia afterparty.

Islamic Heritage Month Community Festival

This annual festival at the International Museum of Muslim Cultures features live performances, exhibits, food, and family-friendly activities. Open to all, it’s a celebration of Muslim heritage, art, and culture.

Jackson Coffee Festival

Cathead Jam

2025 Mississippi Pickle Fest at the AG Museum

Held at the Mississippi Ag Museum, this festival celebrates all things pickled with music, food, and family-friendly activities. Enjoy contests, pickle-themed dishes, local vendors, and interactive exhibits on food preservation.
