Guide to the Mississippi State Fair
The 166th Mississippi State Fair runs October 2-13, 2025 at the Mississippi Fairgrounds. Tickets can be purchased in advance online.
Held annually for 165 years, the Mississippi State Fair is a celebration of agriculture, entertainment, and community. It proudly showcases daily livestock shows, providing 4-H and FFA students with opportunities to present their animals and compete for scholarships. The fair also offers a wide range of attractions, including live music, the antique car show, and the always-popular pig races. The Taste of Dixie National Rodeo is one of the most exciting events at the Mississippi State Fair, featuring thrilling rodeo action, trick riding, and Western-themed entertainment in Frontier Village. Another must-see is the Zerbini Family Circus, where jaw-dropping acrobatics, daring stunts, and hilarious clown acts entertain audiences of all ages.
