City of Jackson Parks

Approximately 2,300 acres of land in the City of Jackson are composed of our 57 city parks and facilities. The areas include playgrounds, swimming pools, golf courses, tennis courts, picnic grounds, and jogging and walking paths. In addition, special facilities include community centers, which are available for public use; Smith Wills Stadium; Mynelle Gardens, the city’s botanical gardens; and the Jackson Zoo.

The City of Jackson also offers a wide variety of recreational programs. Our Athletics Division offers youth and adults softball, flag football, basketball and baseball leagues. In addition, our division offers swimming, golfing, and tennis lessons. Citizens can also enjoy our exciting neighborhood festivals, after school programs, and special events.
