Highball Lanes is a restaurant first and a bowling alley second.
We take the best of Mississippi and serve it up with soul. From appetizers to desserts, the contemporary, seasonal Southern cuisine is made-from-scratch in-house.
There’s a wide variety of appetizers (“Shareables”): quesadillas, nachos, “Soul Rolls,” pimiento cheese wontons, spicy tahini dip, and chicken wings. Salads include the Crunch (kale, mixed greens, broccoli, carrot, fruit and sunflower seeds), the “Cobbish,” a house salad, and a Kale Caesar. Add chicken, shrimp or salmon for an additional fee. All dressings are made in house.
Perfect-for-bowling entrees include burgers (and a turkey version), a catfish Reuben, chicken sandwich, cheesesteak melt, salmon and rice, beef short ribs, grilled chicken, and fettuccine Alfredo.
Save room for dessert! Highball Station serves up an Oreo brownie, orange blossom caramel cheesecake, and seasonal fruit cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Wash it all down – and wet your whistle between turns – from the well-stocked bar. There’s beer on tap (including some local craft beers from Fertile Ground); bottled and canned beer; a small but impressive wine list; and custom cocktails (“Highballs”) including something called a Jackson Water (vodka, gin, rum, tequila, Amaro Meletti, lemon, lime and Sprite) and the Gutter Punk (tequila, mezcal, grenadine and lemon).
There are also lunch specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays (watch for these on Facebook), and a Sunday Brunch including the Highball Combo (two eggs, berries, bacon or sausage, breakfast hash or grits, Johnnycake or biscuit); Catfish Benedict on a biscuit with poached eggs and Creole Hollandaise; fried chicken with Johnnycake or a biscuit; avocado toast; French toast with fresh berries, dusted with powdered sugar. Also try the bottomless mimosa, a Bellini, brandy milk punch, Bloody Mary, or a Pimm’s Cup.
Drop by during Happy hour on Monday - Friday from 4-6 PM.
The Station, the outside dining area for Highball Lanes and the Capri Theatre, includes craft beer pop-ups, specialty cocktails, music and additional food vendors (schedule subject to change).
