A Jackson area staple, Monroe’s Donuts has been serving up delicious donuts and other pastries for the last 23 years. What started out in Monroe Jackson’s home on Medger Evers Boulevard has since turned into multiple Jackson area storefronts.

Monroe’s Donuts and Bakery started in the Monroe household in September 1995. In 2003, a hurricane destroyed their home, and the Monroe’s were forced to figure out a new plan if they wanted to move forward with their business. They picked up the pieces and built a new and improved two-story building, using the first floor as a bakery. Today, the same location still stands as the original location of Monroe’s Donuts, and the Monroe family uses it as an everyday reminder to never give up on your dreams.

Now with four locations in Jackson, Monroe’s Donuts serves fresh baked donuts and pastries Monday through Saturday. Whether you visit the downtown Jackson location, McDowell Road, Northbrook Drive, or Medger Evers, you’re sure to get the freshest and most delicious pastries.
