Sunflower Oven is a cooperative bakery in Jackson, Mississippi.

We make bread that prioritizes people. This means our breads are sourdough, our flour is grown and stone-milled in the South, and our workers collectively own the bakery and share any profits. We offer our bread on a suggested-price basis because nutritious food is a human right.

As of March 2025, we're evolving! After our humble apartment beginnings and storefront beta phase, Sunflower Oven 3.0 marks our return to roots with a more focused, vibrant approach to sharing our passion for baking.

Visit our cozy storefront Friday through Sunday (10am-4pm) for fresh pastries, artisanal breads, coffee, and savory delights. Find us Saturday mornings at the Mississippi Farmers Market on High Street (8am-noon) with complimentary Northshore Coffee.

Our Wednesday special bakes feature unique breads and pastries available by pre-order only (pickup 3-6pm), while our new subscription program ensures your favorites are always reserved.

We remain committed to our community, hosting local and traveling musicians regularly. Support our journey through monthly subscription donations of any amount.
