War Memorial Building

Located next to the Old Capitol, the Mississippi War Memorial Building stands as a monument to the memory of Mississippi men and women who have given their lives in defense of their country. The building contains unique cast-aluminum doors and panels depicting battle scenes starting from the Battle of Ackia in 1736. The classic Art Deco building showcases displays of uniforms, weapons, maps, photographs, medals of honor and other artifacts from the battlefields of the Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Conflict.
