Wellington’s offers an extensive breakfast buffet daily for Hilton guests, and the general public is welcome to enjoy the Southern weekday lunch buffet.
For lunch, Wellington’s serves soup, a carved item, entrees, sides, bread selections and dessert selections, and it’s a bit different each day.
The Monday menu kicks off with a tomato basil soup, and the carved item of the day is roast beef with au jus and horseradish sauce. Entrees include stewed chicken and gravy, shrimp creole and rice or red beans and rice, lasagna, chicken tetrazzini or pizza by the slice. Choose from sides like green beans, English green peas, potato and bacon casserole, broccoli casserole, and greens. Desserts on Mondays include apple cobbler, banana pudding and assorted cakes and pies, which are available every day.
Tuesday at Wellington’s is dubbed “turkey with trimmings” day and the menu brings crawfish and crab corn chowder, oven-roasted turkey, meatballs and spaghetti, bayou pasta, jambalaya, smothered pork chops and shepherd’s pie. Sides to go along with entrees include cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, candied yams, butter beans, peas and carrots and greens – all the classic southern sides. Finish your meal with blueberry cobbler or Oreo chocolate pudding.
If you visit Wellington’s on hump day, it’s BBQ day, and buffet selections will include Brunswick strew and baby back ribs, pork butt, country sausage and warm BBQ sauce at the carving station. Main dishes include smoked chicken, barbecue pasta, fried chicken tenders and pork rib tips. Sides are baked beans, curly fries, corn on the cob, corn souffle, black-eyed peas and greens.
