Overview
Meet MMA’s Artist-in-Residence, L’Merchie Frazier, as she shares her work and joins local quilter Diane Williams in a conversation about quilting’s deep storytelling traditions. Quilting has long been a vehicle for preserving history, passing down cultural memory, and expressing resilience. Frazier, a multidisciplinary artist and educator, explores Black identity across the Americas through her textiles, while Williams, a traditional quilter and storyteller, stitches history and lore into fabric. Together, they’ll reflect on their connections to quilting and the themes woven throughout Of Salt and Spirit in this engaging artist talk.
