Southern coffee culture takes center stage at the inaugural Jackson Coffee Festival, a celebration of everything coffee.

Coffee enthusiasts will savor samples from more than a dozen specialty roasters, dive into interactive classes, and witness live brewing and roasting demonstrations.

Festivalgoers can learn about the complexities of the coffee flavor wheel, explore unique brew methods, and experience coffee education from Mississippi’s finest. Highlights include:

Coffee cupping session with Shawn Rogers of CUPS Espresso Café

Intro to Cold Coffee class led by Trey Malone of Northshore Coffee

Educational exhibits on green coffee roasting and tasting techniques

Tastings of innovative cold brews and traditional hot roasts

Organizer Jim Currie emphasizes the festival’s focus on education as well as tasting: “The world of coffee is complex and there is so much to explore.”
