North Carolina BBQ Popup

Overview

Mayflower Cafe and Elvie's, along with so many other great local folks like Hal & Mal’s, Eddie Wright BBQ, Cathead Distillery, Campbell’s Bakery, Good Bar, and Home Place Pastures are helping to put on this popup to raise funds to support World Central Kitchen and their efforts of feeding the community there and providing clean water. Help us support this community we hold so dear by coming to our pop up or by donating to World Central Kitchen directly.

Note from Chef Hunter Evans:
The devastation that Hurricane Helene has caused is not lost on us here in Mississippi. Mary Kathryn and I have always loved the magic of the mountains in Western North Carolina and the beauty of its people. Before we got married, MK lived in Black Mountain and spent five summers working in this beautiful place. We’ve spent a decade going back to visit friends that feel like family and mountains that feel like home. We cannot imagine the difficulty they’ve seen and will see in the days to come. In the last few years, we have become close to many people in the service industry in the Asheville community, like Chai Pani, who are tirelessly working to help the people and places around them.
