Overview

Gather for a powerful evening of community dialogue honoring lives lost to HIV/AIDS and celebrating the healing role of art in our communities. Hear from Jackson-born photographer D’Angelo Lovell Williams and Joshua Burford of the Invisible Histories Project as they explore how storytelling, memory, and art shape resistance and collective healing.

A panel from Jackson’s contribution to the AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on view at MMA from May 5 - 18 honoring lives through the legacy and language of quilting. This free public event also includes the opportunity to create a quilt square in tribute to a loved one.
