Dr. Rickey Thigpen, President & CEO of Visit Jackson, has been named a top minority leader for 2022 by The Delta Business Journal.

A proud alumnus of Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) and a Life Member of the MVSU Alumni Association, Dr. Thigpen was chosen among men and women who exemplify the qualities of leadership, experience and community involvement that truly define the spirit of excellence that embodies the Mississippi Delta region.

Thigpen continues to support his alma mater while reigning over destination management in the capital region here in Jackson.

Dr. Thigpen continues to advocate for MVSU causes, collecting laptops for students or negotiating contracts to secure more funding from their athletic endeavors.

In addition to this most recent honor, Dr. Thigpen has received countless awards and serves on numerous boards and auxiliaries which has postured him to be among this prestigious list.
