Soul Sessions, conversations on culture from Jackson, Mississippi, is hosted by Visit Jackson’s Content Marketing Manager, Paul Wolf and Communications and Destinations Development Manager, Kim Lewis.
The podcast will look at the people, places and events that make Jackson the City With Soul.
Officially releasing February 15, Soul Sessions launched a preview episode today featuring Visit Jackson President and CEO Rickey Thigpen as its first guest. Thigpen talks about his 30 years-in-the-making rise as leader of his organization and some of his favorite Jackson spots.
Future episodes will profile locals in the fields of the visual and performing arts, music, culture, culinary arts and beyond.
“Our guest roster includes doers and dreamers from across the city,” said Wolf. “We want to introduce you to the people who make this an exciting time in Jackson.”
The podcast, recorded in downtown Jackson at MWB Studios, will release each month on the 15th and features the newly released Teneia Sanders song, “City With Soul” as its soundtrack.
