March 7, 2023
The LeFleur Museum District (LMD) unveiled a new logo, brand guide, and website to the public just ahead of a busy spring season.
Visit LeFleurMuseumDistrict.com to view the new website, calendar of events, and to purchase a LMD District Pass which saves guests 25% off regular admission to all four museums in the district.
“The rebranding of the LMD logo and website reflects our vision and future plans of collaboration as we welcome visitors from our local area, as well as from around the state and nation,” said Emily Hoff, MCM Executive Director & LMD President.
The LeFleur Museum District is located at Mississippi’s busiest intersection at I-55 and Lakeland Drive and consists of four unique museums, the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum, Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum, MDWFP’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, and the Mississippi Children’s Museum. With the support of Visit Jackson, the LMD launched in 2014 with the goal of creating the Magnolia state’s first museum district and offer a joint admission pass for visitors.
Since inception, the LMD has been recognized by the Southeast Tourism Society for excellence in tourism partnerships and has also pioneered the Mississippi Science Festival (MSF), LMD’s signature flagship joint event each September. MSF has received many accolades including MTA’s Small Festival of the Year. The LeFleur Museum District also encompasses the newest addition to the area, the LeFleur’s Bluff Complex and Playground, which has welcomed over 120,000 visitors since opening.
“Congratulations to the LeFleur Museum District on unveiling a new brand that showcases the vibrancy and impact this destination has on our city. Visit Jackson is ready to accelerate the promotion and positivity of the LeFleur Museum District and what it brings to the City With Soul,” said Dr. Rickey Thigpen, President/CEO Visit Jackson.
Locals and tourists are invited to visit LeFleur Museum District from March 13-17 to enjoy an exciting Spring Break event, Week of Wonder, offering visitors special programming, exhibits, and discounts. During Week of Wonder LMD is partnering with The District at Eastover to offer dining deals to Sal & Mookies and Cultivation Food Hall with the presentation of a Week of Wonderdining card given to visitors when they check-in at each museum during March 13-17. Tickets can be purchased online at LeFleurMuseumDistrict.com or at any of the four museums during the week of the event only.
“I’m so proud of the leaders in the LeFleur Museum District that have not only had vision, but have taken action over the last ten years. As we launch a new brand for LMD, we can successfully share our story with local visitors and tourists from across the nation,” said Susan Garrard, MCM President/CEO and LMD Board Member.
