Visit Jackson Honors 2025 Tourism Champions at Annual Awards Ceremony

Visit Jackson celebrated its 32nd annual Hometown Hero and S.U.M.I.T.T. award recipients during a special ceremony held today at the historic Capri Theatre in the Fondren district.
The organization partnered with local tourism leaders to recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to establishing Jackson, Mississippi as a premier tourism destination.
Dr. Rickey Thigpen, Visit Jackson's President & CEO, welcomed attendees before introducing the ceremony host, WJTV's Kayla Thompson. The event honored industry stakeholder favorites across multiple categories, including restaurants, hotels, and events.
Established as an annual tradition, the ceremony highlights the exceptional commitment, accomplishments, and service of those who have enhanced the visitor experience in Jackson and elevated the city's travel and tourism profile.
