Visit Jackson Offers Info on Covid-19 Safe Practices
April 3, 2020
Visit Jackson is committed to keeping abreast of information from local, state, and national partners to continually monitor the ever-evolving situation associated with the COVID-19 outbreak, acting as an information liaison for our visitors, clients, and stakeholders.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will cooperate with directives from the Hinds County Board of Health (HCBH), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Currently, HCBH is working in conjunction with the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) to monitor the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The health and safety of our city’s residents and visitors is Visit Jackson’s highest priority. As you are aware, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) a Global Health Emergency. The United States has declared the virus a pandemic and the State of Mississippi and City of Jackson have issued “stay-at-home” orders.
Visit Jackson encourages visitors and citizens alike to take the precautions suggested by health experts.
Healthy Habits:
Wash hands often with soap and water. If not available, use hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
Avoid contact with people who are sick
Stay home while you are sick and avoid close contact with others
